Tranquility
Painting by Ron Fly
The spirit of our nation's forefathers is captured in this newly released painting.

"My great great grandfather built this oak log cabin in the early 1800's. In 1977 I took the logs and recreated the old home place. Every Christmas I would walk out into the cold brisk air with a drink of eggnog, looking in the window of the cabin, thanking God for this place.

Christmas of 1982 I decided to portray my feelings on canvas of tranquility -  this scene of a man and his loving family in the home he had created with his own hands. They represent the substantial foundation and values of the pioneers responsible for this great nation, built with the help of God. In this busy world of ours it would behoove this modern society to remember and do the same.

I used my grandchildren, David and Jessica as subjects in this piece. The future of the human race rest in the values we have instilled in our children. I paint to influence people of the beauty and goodness God gave us."
